In 2025 we can look forward to a host venue offering a unique and diverse experience for athletes: a challenging race course, a cultural experience distinct from other World Championship host venues, and a holiday destination providing something for the sun-lover, the gastronome, the sophisticate, the adventurer, amid an immersive and vibrant Andalusian culture.
Entry is by qualification only, but racing as an IRONMAN XC race gives you unique opportunity to compete for slots exclusive to XC athletes which then unlock all of the program benefits you know and love for your championship race. The race itself will feature a swim in one of the world’s largest freshwater lakes, a bike course through New Zealand’s renowned rural landscape and a run course which takes in views of the lakefront that will be lined with spectator and local support.
